We’re hiring a Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting for a growing construction business in the GTA. You’ll own month‑end close, job costing/WIP, cash flow, and support project teams with clear, timely financial insights.
Key Responsibilities- Lead month‑end/year‑end close and produce financial statements & variance reporting
- Manage job costing
, WIP reporting
, project margin tracking
, and change order accounting - Oversee AP/AR, progress billings, collections, and cash flow forecasting
- Ensure compliance (HST, payroll remittances, WSIB) and maintain strong internal controls
- Partner with PMs/Operations on budgets, committed costs, and forecast‑to‑complete
- Manage/mentor the accounting team and improve processes/systems
- CPA preferred
- 7+ years accounting/finance experience,
construction/project accounting required - Strong understanding of progress billings, holdbacks, subcontractor accounting, and cost codes
- Advanced Excel; experience with construction accounting/ERP systems is an asset
