Job Summary
New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is committed to transforming lives and communities. The College is currently seeking a dynamic and competent individual for the position of Instructor, Electric Vehicle:
Automotive Service Technician in Fredericton.
Position Type:
Casual to April 2026
Location:
Fredericton
Salary Range: $33.85 to $52.08 per hour, based on experience and level of post-secondary education.
Responsibilities- Planning and preparing instructional materials and resources for the in-person delivery of the Electric Vehicle:
Automotive Service Technician microcredential. - Establishing and managing a positive learning environment.
- Instructing and evaluating students.
- Building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Performing other related duties as required.

- High Voltage Batteries
- Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Support Systems
A valid Automotive Service Technician Red Seal license with related years of work experience.
Preference will be given to candidates who have a minimum of three (3) years of recent and related work experience at the Journeyperson's level, including the ability to inspect, diagnose, maintain and service current model vehicles in the automotive service industry.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent.
Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Key skills include Hybrid Vehicle Service, Electric Vehicle Service, and Automotive Service Technician Red Seal certification.

- High‑voltage electrical systems:
Inverters, converters, battery packs and electric motors - Charging station operation
- Manufacturer-specific EV Certifications
- Battery management systems:
Diagnostics, lifecycle management, and thermal regulation
Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.
This competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level.
