• Be responsible for site specific safety including facilitating orientations, site inspections, review and filing of subcontractor’s pre‑construction and weekly safety submittals and conducting / leading accident investigations when necessary.
• Identify potential hazards and directing rectification measures.
• Monitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance to safety procedures and escape issues to resolution.
• Organize and conduct training programs including but not limited to:
  • WHMIS
  • Working At Heights
  • Personal Protection Equipment
  • CPR/First Aid
• Coordinate weekly safety audit summaries.
• Effectively compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly project health and safety statistics.
• Regulate work site activity in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
• Coordinate Joint Health & Safety Committees.
• Proactively identifying and preventing hazardous situations and taking necessary measures to rectify.
• Provide leadership for a best-in-class health and safety program.

• You have a minimum of 3-5 years’ of safety construction experience
• You have the ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations.
• You are working towards or are already certified under the Occupational Health and Safety Act/Regulations with experience working on a construction site.
• You are a holder of or working toward a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certificate.
• You have completed a college degree or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Experience with the COR Certification process would be an advantage.
• This role requires Reliability Level Security Clearance.

The salary range for this job is: $70,CAD
