Salary Range: $25.34 - $31.61 per hour
YOUR FOCUSReporting to the Manager Technology Enhanced Learning, the Resource Administrator/Education Coordinator (Equipment Pool) is accountable for the daily operations of the equipment pool (ePool), the day-to-day supervision of part-time and student staff, and serving as the primary instructional and technical resource for hardware loan and AV for events, including hybrid and live casting.
- Apply technical knowledge of AV equipment and system integration to deliver effective customer service and problem resolution.
- Follow policies and procedures for Equipment Pool operations while maintaining a positive service image across the UNB community.
- Deliver specialized technical and logistical support for conferences, hybrid classes, awards ceremonies, and other events.
- Advise on appropriate equipment, systems, and procedures to meet event and instructional needs.
- Maintain the delivery vehicle in a clean and reliable condition and record mileage and maintenance.
- Provide walk-up counter service to support audio-visual and equipment needs.
- Engage clients with courtesy, tact, and professionalism while serving multiple requests simultaneously.
- Book equipment for short-term loans and events.
- Advise on technical issues, equipment selection, and usage challenges.
- Coordinate equipment deliveries and pickups to optimize resources and scheduling.
- Monitor and follow up on overdue equipment returns.
- Train users on audio-visual equipment, videoconferencing systems, smart classrooms, and instructional technologies.
- Oversee daily workflows and provide guidance to student staff within the Technology-Enhanced Learning Equipment Pool.
- Support planning and training initiatives for student staff.
- Maintain current knowledge of classroom and AV technology upgrades and coordinate with ITS on related issues.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, purchases, and inventory planning to meet community demand.
- Ensure all equipment remains clean, functional, and ready for use.
- Maintain ongoing learning to support the convergence of audio-visual, multimedia, and information technologies.
- Manage cash sales, chargebacks, and invoices, and complete required documentation for billing and record keeping.
- Prepare and submit monthly financial statements for materials and services.
- Track equipment loans and repairs.
- Support other departments that use Web Checkout, including Forestry, Geology, and ITS.
- Community College diploma in multimedia, information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years experience working with and troubleshooting audio-visual, multimedia, and information technology equipment.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with inventory management systems and process.
- Familiar with Apple and Windows software and devices.
- Ability to handle clients with courtesy, calmness, tact, and diplomacy, including in high‑pressure or time‑sensitive situations.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a small team and support colleagues across related service units.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to provide day‑to‑day supervision and guidance to student staff; previous team lead experience is an asset.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
