This course examines the skeletal, muscular, and neural systems of the upper-limb, lower-limb, trunk, and abdomen. The anatomy of the Central Nervous System, Cardiovascular system, and Respiratory system are also briefly covered. An overarching theme is the analysis of human movement, with students specifying which anatomical structures control motion. The course focuses on functional human anatomy and teaches practical movement assessment skills such as anatomical movement assessments, postural assessment, muscle length and strength testing, and movement screening.
Responsibilities- Teach the course content and facilitate class discussions.
- Deliver lectures and conduct laboratory sessions, including the T & TH lecture and the Monday lab at 8:30 am.
- Create and grade assessments, including quizzes and exams.
- Provide student support and mentorship.
- Master's degree in Kinesiology or a combination of education and experience.
- C grade or better in BIOL 1711.
- Ability to teach or tutor at the university level.
