We are currently accepting applications for a term full-time (1.0 FTE)
Behaviour Therapist to join our team for the  school year in our Stoney Education program in Eden Valley.

• Work in collaboration with the team (including but not limited to the teacher and therapists) to plan and supporting programing for children with behavioural challenges, developmental disabilities or special needs.
• Develop strategies and assist children/students in daily routines, language development, fine and gross motor activities, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with teacher and team with planning and/or modifying the curriculum/daily plan to meet child’s needs and address goals.
• Collaborate with team members to develop strategies, programming, and materials
• Work, coach, and support team members of child/student.
• Travel is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree in related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, may be considered.
• At least 1 year practice experience
• At least 1-year experience working with children in an education environment.
• Ability to work with children who may be physically or emotionally demanding
• Understanding of and/or work experience with Indigenous Peoples and First Nations communities.
• Priority will be given Indigenous applicants or those who have experience working on a nation
• A reliable vehicle, auto insurance with a minimum $2, liability and driver’s license is required. (Kilometer expense will be covered for business travel.)

• Successful candidates must provide us with a valid ‘Calgary Police Check with Vulnerable Sector’ dated within 3 months prior to their start date.
• ‘Intervention Record Check through Alberta Child Services’ is also required, however, we can support you with completing this during your onboarding.
