Senior Municipal Engineer – Fredericton  We are looking for a Senior Municipal Engineer to join our growing team at GEMTEC in Fredericton.
Responsibilities   Prepare engineering drawings, technical reports, specifications, and tender documents.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, cost‑effective design solutions.
Review drawings and designs to ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
Support construction administration activities, including site inspections and responding to contractor inquiries.
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce and review detailed civil design plans.
Communicate with clients, municipalities, and other stakeholders to keep projects on track and aligned with expectations.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff as needed.
Work office‑based design and project management with site visits to projects as required.
Adhere to all company policies and other duties as required.
Qualifications   Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
8‑10 years of experience in civil engineering consulting, including municipal and infrastructure design.
Registered or eligible for registration with APEGNB.
Proven experience in project management, including budget, schedule, and client coordination.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software.
Strong understanding of water, sanitary, and stormwater systems, as well as road and site grading design.
Experience preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
Familiarity with construction administration and site inspection.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for work‑related travel.
