Lead Senior Civil Estimator at Aecon

Take the lead as a Senior Civil Estimator at Aecon, where your expertise will influence major infrastructure projects that enhance communities. This role requires strong estimating skills and a focus on cost management.
As part of the Aecon team, you will report to the Senior Project Manager and be integral to preparing detailed cost estimates for civil and structural projects. Your abilities in analyzing specifications and developing accurate quantity take-offs will guide the costing process. Working alongside engineering teams, you will identify risks and support value engineering initiatives to optimize costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates for civil and structural scopes

• Analyze design documents and specifications effectively

• Develop quantity take-offs and comprehensive cost breakdowns

• Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities and risks

• Maintain estimating databases and assist in budget forecasts
Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field

• Minimum 8–10 years' estimating experience in heavy civil projects

• Strong knowledge of estimating methodologies required

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software

• Effective communication and analytical skills
