About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Civil / Structural Estimator (Senior) will prepare and coordinate cost estimates during the design phase.
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil and structural scopes.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and design documents.
- Develop quantity take‑offs and cost breakdowns.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams.
- Identify risks, opportunities and cost drivers.
- Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
- Participate in estimate reviews and validation processes.
- Maintain estimating databases and historical cost data.
- Coordinate with procurement and project controls teams.
- Assist in developing project budgets and forecasts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of estimating experience.
- Experience in infrastructure or heavy civil projects.
- Experience in hydroelectric projects is a major asset.
- Strong knowledge of estimating methodologies.
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
