Hydropower Engineer

Position: Hydropower Engineer at Stantec
Stantec is seeking a Hydropower Engineer to enhance our hydro team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This full-time role focuses on hydropower project design, client collaboration, and project management, with options for flexible work.

As a key player in our hydro team, your role will require you to understand client needs and oversee the design and construction of various hydropower structures. You will engage in diverse engineering challenges, ensuring safety and quality in every project. Leadership experience is vital as you motivate your team and manage resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop hydropower engineering solutions with client focus

• Perform field support for installation and construction

• Prepare design communications and cost estimates

• Mentor team members for career development

• Collaborate with project engineers on design plans

Requirements:

• Degree in engineering (structural or mechanical)

• Professional designation (P.Eng.) in Canada

• Over 10 years’ experience in hydroelectric facilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Proven project management skills
