Environmental Compliance Specialist

Position: Environmental Compliance Specialist at Aecon
Drive environmental initiatives at Aecon as an Environmental Coordinator in New Brunswick. Help ensure compliance and reduce environmental impact on construction sites.

You will work under the Senior Manager, Sustainability, focusing on implementing and monitoring environmental regulations and requirements. This role is essential for promoting best environmental practices throughout our ongoing infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and permits

• Support the execution of environmental management strategies

• Conduct thorough inspections to assess environmental impact

• Propose mitigation measures for identified risks

• Document and track environmental incidents for improvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field

• 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in construction

• Knowledge of local environmental regulations in New Brunswick

• Experience with permitting processes is essential

• Field experience preferred, adding value on-site
