Dillon’s Contaminant Assessment & Management Discipline is seeking an Intermediate Environmental Professional (Environmental Engineer and/or Geoscientist OR Environmental Engineering Technician) to fill a new vacancy within our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.

Responsibilities
Manage and complete field programs for contaminated sites projects, including Phase I, II & III Environmental Site Assessments, hydrogeological investigations, soil/groundwater/surface water/sediment/soil vapour sampling programs, and contaminated site remediation projects.
Complete documentation of field activities, site health and safety meetings, among others in paper and digital formats (as required).
Support environmental monitoring tasks on construction and industrial sites.
Contribute to preparation of environmental site assessment reports, including compilation and analysis of data, borehole logs, and test pit logs.
Assist with designated hazardous substance surveys including asbestos and lead sampling and assist in air emissions testing programs.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain project‑specific equipment.
Be field ready for extended provincial travel and multi‑week deployments.
Be available for significant overtime and irregular schedules during peak field seasons.
Work alone in the field with guided direction or partial supervision.
Project Coordination
Coordinate with laboratories, clients, subcontractors, and third‑party stakeholders.
Prepare reports, technical memos, letters, spreadsheets, and figures.
Provide assistance to project managers, engineers, environmental scientists, and others on a variety of multidisciplinary design teams, with the opportunity to develop into a Project Manager.

Provide input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching, and mentoring.
Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.
Qualifications
A degree and/or diploma in Engineering, Geology, Geoscience, Environmental Science or a related environmental discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting is an asset.
Ability to collect field data according to provincial and/or federal requirements.
A valid driver’s license.
Versatile, adaptable, and willing to conduct a variety of tasks.
Comfortable with use and operation of a 4X4 truck in an off‑road environment.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Eligibility to register as a P.Eng. or P.Geo. is an asset.
Experience
Knowledge of relevant provincial and federal environmental legislation, regulations and guidelines.
Knowledge of general construction practices and environmental mitigation measures.
Experience in the collection of biological and physical field data.
Experience in conducting environmental baseline programs, environmental impact assessments and environmental site assessments is an asset.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and ArcGIS is an asset.
Proficient in data entry, data compilation and database management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
Proficient in the writing of technical reports.
