Position: Environmental Assessment Specialist at Stantec
Stantec is searching for an Environmental Regulatory Specialist in beautiful Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This full-time permanent position focuses on environmental assessments, permitting, and teamwork.

In this role, you will collaborate with technical and environmental experts, assisting in the creation of regulatory applications. Your responsibilities include assessing environmental constraints, potential impacts, and contributing your regulatory knowledge to various projects. You will support a culture committed to health and safety through participation in Stantec’s HSSE Program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with teams on environmental assessments and permits

• Prepare and assist with regulatory documentation

• Identify sensitive features and potential impacts

• Offer regulatory insights on diverse environmental projects

• Advocate for a strong health and safety culture

Requirements:

• Master’s in environmental science or similar preferred

• Bachelor’s with 2 years of relevant experience accepted

• Knowledge of Atlantic Canada's environmental regulations

• Strong writing and communication abilities

• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality deliverables
