Hatch is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Fredericton, New Brunswick. As part of our global engineering organization, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of industry experts delivering complex and impactful projects across the energy, infrastructure, mining, and industrial sectors.

In this role, you will contribute to all phases of project delivery, from concept development and detailed design through construction support and commissioning. • Prepare electrical engineering calculations, studies, technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
• Develop and review electrical system designs, including power distribution, protection and control, grounding, lighting, and related systems.
• Prepare engineering deliverables such as single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, equipment lists, technical specifications, data sheets, and construction packages.
• Participate in feasibility studies, system assessments, design criteria development, and value engineering initiatives.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and Hatch quality procedures.
• Support the development of as-built documentation and project close-out deliverables.

• Support the Engineering Manager and Lead Electrical Engineer in the successful delivery of projects with respect to scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Coordinate engineering activities with internal multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, mechanical, process, and instrumentation disciplines.
• Track engineering progress and contribute to the timely completion of project milestones.
• Assist in identifying project risks and developing practical engineering solutions.
• Participate in engineering reviews and design optimization efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review vendor documentation and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and engineering intent.
• Support procurement, fabrication, installation, and construction activities through technical reviews and engineering guidance.
• Participate in field inspections, site visits, commissioning activities, and start-up support as required.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues encountered during construction and commissioning.
