Position: SYSTEMS SPECIALIST, MIROSOFT 365 & MICROSOFT EXCHANGE
Our client is currently seeking a Systems Specialist, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Exchange to join their team. This role is a collaborative and hands-on position responsible for delivering expert-level support across end-user computing (EUC) environments, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and virtual desktop platforms. The successful candidate will contribute to the optimization, stability, and security of Microsoft-based collaboration and endpoint environments, while supporting innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, support, and optimize Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019 and related Microsoft 365 collaboration toolsManage and enhance endpoint management platforms, including Microsoft Intune and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) infrastructure to support secure and scalable remote accessBuild, maintain, and update standardized operating system images and application packagesCollaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement endpoint security, compliance, and protection policiesLead or contribute to IT initiatives such as hardware refresh programs, operating system upgrades, and application deploymentsCreate and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and internal knowledge base articlesProvide Tier 3 escalation support and mentor junior IT staffPartner with business units to deliver timely, process-driven technical solutions aligned with ITIL best practicesStay current with end-user computing (EUC) trends and recommend improvements to tools and processesQualifications
University degree or college diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience3–8 years of experience in IT systems or infrastructure environmentsHands-on experience with:
Microsoft Exchange Microsoft Intune Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) SCCM Active Directory (AD)Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platformStrong written and verbal communication and customer service skillsHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage changing prioritiesProven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environmentPreferred / Assets
Microsoft Certified Systems Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Azure AssociateITIL Foundations CertificationSix Sigma Yellow Belt CertificationAll successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
