Business Analyst

Qualifications

• University degree or post‑secondary diploma in IT or equivalent program
• 5+ years of IM/IT experience related to the design, development, maintenance, or analysis of business applications
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Hands‑on experience in remote or in‑person facilitation and requirements gathering, including preparing and asking probing questions and performing current‑state and future‑state analysis for designing and developing enterprise‑level applications
• Experience documenting business and application processes, diagramming required process flows, and documenting interfaces within application sub‑systems, with external systems and between new and existing systems
• Experience developing a requirement traceability matrix, product backlog, user stories, wireframes/prototypes, user‑acceptance criteria, and overseeing user acceptance testing
• Experience performing business‑process analysis for complex transformation initiatives by managing stakeholders in a cross‑functional environment to develop use cases for application customization
• Competency in interactive communication and effective collaboration with both business and technical stakeholders, and experience working within a team environment (3‑5 years)
• Current certification from a recognized professional business‑analysis association such as PMI‑PBA or IIBA‑CBAP, with proof of current certification in good standing
• Experience working in a project setting in the Canadian public‑sector government environment (1‑3 years)
• Experience using SAFe, Agile or similar methodology (1‑3 years)
• Experience using Azure Dev Ops (1‑3 years)
• Experience designing user interfaces for mobile‑responsive web applications (1‑3 years)
• Experience collecting, consolidating, and analyzing project data from multiple sources to support project status reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and executive‑level summaries (1‑3 years)
