Job Description & How to Apply Below

At CI, we see a great place to work as one that is a safe place for everyone to have a voice, where people are empowered to take ownership over meaningful work, where there is an opportunity to grow through stretching themselves, where they can work on innovative products and projects, and where employees are supported and engaged in doing so.

The Data Steward plays a foundational role in advancing an organization’s data governance and management capabilities by ensuring that data is accurate, consistently defined, and easily accessible across the enterprise. Working collaboratively with both business and technical stakeholders, the Data Steward maintains metadata, enhances data quality, documents data lineage, and ensures better trust and usability of data assets. The role contributes to governance initiatives by assisting with data classification, implementing access controls, and supporting compliance with data retention and regulatory requirements.

It also governs unstructured data, improving organization and discoverability across platforms while reducing risk. Through active participation in governance tools and processes, the Data Steward reinforces policies, standards, and best practices. The position requires hands‑on data experience, including proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data platforms, along with strong analytical, documentation, and collaboration skills. This role is ideal for individuals early in their data governance career who are eager to build expertise and drive improved data reliability and literacy across the organization.
