Responsibilities
- Interface with Project Team(s), other BSAs and developers, as well as with other technical teams, to identify, document and manage the business requirements/specifications for various projects and support those processes, that could be cross functional and technically complex.
- Responsible and accountable for the business requirements/specifications to be complete, correct, consistent, concise, achievable and to obtain sign off from the business stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with business users in order to determine optimal solutions, automation and alternatives for various business and systems needs to ensure clients make informed decisions.
- Provide overall business/systems support for Production and User Acceptance Test environments.
- Ensure continued integrity of existing production systems.
- Ad‑hoc reporting for business users.
- Investigative support for day‑to‑day system and business issues.
- Provide expert guidance with hands‑on help where required to solve complex and challenging business problems to the satisfaction of key stakeholders.
- Set stakeholder expectations appropriately.
- Share complex concepts with non‑technical audiences.
- Collaborate with project team on issue management and help coordinate resolution.
- Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings.
- Initiate and lead on support items and projects tied to vendors and management surrounding that.
- Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to Support team members and extended business teams.
- Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Help to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Undertake project and support tasks as required.
- Help ensure project and support task adheres to JIRA framework and documentation is maintained appropriately.
- Gather stakeholder feedback and document new requirements as user stories in JIRA.
- Help to ensure stakeholder views/expectations are managed.
- Facilitate meetings with the support and project teams to review/refine JIRA backlog.
- Help define the sprint schedule with support/project team.
- Report on weekly targets, anticipated and existing blockages, progress towards project milestones.
- Function in an agile team environment and may be involved with planning and executing test cases and vendor system upgrades.
This role follows our in‑office work model and requires employees to be onsite four days per week to support collaboration and business needs.
Compensation and BenefitsThe anticipated base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $95,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program. The Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education‑related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and many others.
Many of these benefits are subsidized or fully paid for by the company.
- 5 years experience as business/systems analyst or business consultant within the Investment Management or Brokerage industry.
- College/University graduate in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in business/systems analysis for portfolio management/back‑office systems within the Investment Management industry.
- Working experience with Corporate Systems in Finance along with vendor management an asset.
- Familiarity with multi‑platform environments such as Windows, UNIX, Amazon AWS, Linux/REDHAT.
- Good knowledge of database design, data mining, and querying using SQL.
- Familiar and knowledgeable in Snowflake Databases would be an asset.
- Strong knowledge of investment and wealth management functions: portfolio management/administration, portfolio modeling, performance accounting, performance reporting/attribution, back‑office, order and trade management.
- In‑depth understanding of various investment products, market practices, compliance and regulatory requirements, industry trends.
- Ability to confidently and professionally deal with vendor and employees at a variety of levels.
- Strong customer service orientation, leadership and decision‑making skills.
