Systems Analyst NB

Join the University of New Brunswick as a Systems Analyst, based in Fredericton, NB. This full-time position balances systems support, security protocols, and database management in a hybrid working environment.
As a key member of the Information Technology Services, you will report directly to the Manager of Systems and Applications.

Your role will focus on ensuring systems functionality and performance standards are met while providing consultation services internally. This includes effective installation, ongoing maintenance, and the monitoring of the security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure optimal functioning and stability of ITS managed systems

• Deliver professional operational support promptly

• Install new systems and provide database consultations

• Analyze and monitor systems and security performance

• Engage in team projects and complete tasks independently
Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or Information Systems

• Minimum of two years systems analysis experience

• Knowledge of Linux, VMware, and Proxmox assets

• Experience with relational databases like MySQL or MS SQL

• Proficiency in scripting (Bash or Python) is an asset
