Senior SQL Developer

Only qualified Senior SQL Developer located near the Fredericton, New Brunswick area will be considered due to the role requiring an onsite presence.

• A University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

• A minimum of fifteen (15) years of demonstrated IM/IT experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining health applications for the Regional Health Authority and/or Department of Health in a Canadian Provincial jurisdiction.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) including the creation of SSIS packages.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English.

• Demonstrated experience in the last 5 years, working as a Senior Programmer/SQL Developer on a health analytics or health reporting database system for Regional Health Authorities and/or Department of Health in a Canadian Provincial jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated experience with relational database systems including SQL Server (version 2012 or later).
• Demonstrated experience maintaining and developing SQL Server databases, tables, views, queries, functions, stored procedures, indexes, scheduled jobs, triggers, packages, and performance tuning for SQL Server implementations.
• Demonstrated experience with Enterprise BI or other analytic/data warehouse technology (preference given to Power BI administration).
• Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and deploying SSRS reports and/or PowerBI dashboards.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing the implementation of technical solutions in an operational workplace.
• Demonstrated experience in architecture where multiple systems and domains need be considered from an enterprise view.
• Demonstrated experience with Cognos/Impromptu.
