Senior Database Geologist

Position: Senior Database Geologist at Stantec
Join Stantec as a Senior Database Geologist in hybrid settings, managing critical geological data for the energy and resources sector. Leverage your expertise in database management and geologic modeling to drive sustainability projects forward.

In this role, you will enhance our Energy and Resources Canada West team through your 8 to 10 years of experience in managing complex databases. Your strong technical capabilities will support various functions from resource estimation to mineral processing. You'll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team while also engaging in business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain geological databases using SQL or Access

• Implement data acquisition and QA/QC protocols

• Analyze data with GIS tools and Microsoft Access

• Build geologic models using industry-standard software

• Author technical reports as Qualified Person or Competent Person

Requirements:

• 8 to 10 years of database management experience

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Access

• Background in exploration and mining projects

• P.Geo. or QP designation is preferred

• Ability to travel to remote locations periodically
