Qualifications Education/Experience
  • Degree in Computer Science or Business OR a Diploma from a two-year IT / Business program related work experience.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience using Peoplesoft Campus and higher education experience.

  • Highly flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to navigate and build relationships effectively throughout the organization.
  • Working Knowledge/High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, analytical ability, and innovative thinking.
  • Self-motivated, service and results oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

As part of the Finance and Administration Division and reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Applications, the Business Analyst is responsible to respond to the needs of the organization and help deliver technology that supports organizational business goals. The role provides functional support to management on systems design and administration.

  • Undertake the review of business processes in conjunction with current system users, including workflow analysis and functional process charts to identify process improvements.
  • Document the current and desired state of processes noting the size of the change and the stakeholders affected.
  • Conduct cost benefit analysis.
  • Participate in the upgrade of current systems, identifying impacts on users, process change associated with upgrades.
  • Assist with system upgrade and patch testing and documentation.
  • Perform data "audits" to ensure data integrity is maintained.
  • Develop plans and strategies for implementation of new modules, including designing and creating the configuration of those modules.
  • Develop training material on any system changes and deliver training to users.
