Saint Mary’s First Nation is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Project Manager to oversee the daily operations of a two-year Project; involving cultural & traditional activities that will enhance capacity in addressing addictions issues and healthy living. The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to; planning, scheduling activities/events, reporting, evaluations; as well as ensuring Project goals and deliverables are successfully carried out.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leadership:
    Hire, and supervise (1) staff, conduct performance evaluations, provide regular monthly reports to the Project Committee, and implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Operational Oversight:
    Manage day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and productivity. This includes organizing schedules and assignments, maintaining resources, and delegating tasks effectively.
  • Strategic Planning:
    Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve Project goals. Identify new opportunities for growth and efficiency.
  • Financial Management:
    Work closely with Saint Mary’s Financial Manager to ensure expenses are in line with cash flow statements, and that financial targets are met.
  • Performance and Compliance:
    Monitor & record Project activities, evaluate activities & identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance Project Goals. Ensure the Project adheres to all of Saint Mary’s First Nation policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Communication and

    Collaboration:

    Serve as a primary point of contact for internal participants, collaborate with community departments, and report on progress to the Project Advisory Committee.
  • Problem‑Solving:
    Be willing to address and attempt to resolve conflicts and/or complaints; maintaining a high level of satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience in a management role, preferably in social services & addiction.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team approach.
  • Good organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
