Ocean Steel is seeking a Steel Fitter with 1 to 3 years of experience in structural steel fabricating. In this role, you will work with shop drawings to determine material needs and utilize jigs, welding torches, and hand tools to complete tasks. Operating overhead cranes to position materials is also essential in your daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Position and align structural metal or steel accurately

• Determine required materials based on shop drawings

• Mark reference points using measuring devices and tools

• Lift and move steel materials with overhead cranes

• Utilize jigs, welding torches, and hand tools regularly

Requirements:

• Completion of relevant pre-employment program or experience

• Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification (Block
1)

• 1 to 3 years’ experience in structural steel fabricating

• CSA approved steel toe boots required
