Ocean Steel is looking for a dedicated Yard Worker at its Saint John facility. This role involves loading and unloading trucks, utilizing an overhead crane for steel movement, and assisting machine operators and welders. Successful candidates will work in various weather conditions and have the opportunity to advance in skilled positions such as Welder and Fitter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks efficiently at the plant

• Operate crane to organize and move steel pieces

• Locate materials for machine operators and welders

• Clear debris to maintain a safe work area

• Assist in the steel shop as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma completion

• CSA approved steel toe boots required

• Previous experience in structural steel fabrication preferred

• Commitment to safety practices and teamwork

• Willingness to learn and develop skills
