Occupational Health Safety Officer at UNB

Reporting to the Manager of Environmental Health and Safety, you will oversee university-wide safety training initiatives and support various safety committees. Key responsibilities include developing training programs, conducting needs assessments, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations while promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance on occupational health and safety

• Design and maintain training programs across various formats

• Conduct assessments to meet department-specific needs

• Coordinate external training services like First Aid and CPR

• Monitor training completion and compliance requirements

Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in health and safety

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in a post-secondary setting

• Proficiency in software relevant to safety training

• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus

• Experience in online course delivery and SharePoint maintenance
