As an Inside Sales Representative, you’ll be responsible for generating sales leads, engaging with potential customers, and closing deals primarily through phone calls, emails, and online communications. Your role involves understanding customer needs, recommending appropriate construction products, and providing exceptional customer service to drive sales and build lasting relationships. You will also be working closely with your outside sales team representative.

About

the Position:
  • Attending customers by telephone, email, or in person at the counter
  • Support Outside Sales staff with customer order entry, expediting, and quotations
  • Maintain quality service by following organizational standards
  • Provide technical support on product selection and application
  • Proactively handle incoming and outgoing customer telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner. Will solicit orders from existing and new customer base
  • Coordinate the prompt handling of customer service requests, including, but not limited to, order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, order maintenance, credit, and claims
  • Handle written correspondence received from and sent to customers in a timely manner
  • Maintain the merchandise on display and the counter area
  • Assist in the receiving and delivery of the product
  • Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Construction products and applications is an asset
  • Counter experience is an asset
  • Exhibits excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Able to prioritize work; be flexible
  • Consistently able to meet deadlines competently and timely
  • Practice excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Preferred

    Skills and Experience:
  • Ability to handle a variety of customer situations with enthusiasm and tact
  • Working knowledge of PC’s including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees and management, both internally and externally
