We are hiring a Business Development Manager (BDM) who will be responsible for sales, asset retention and brand promotion of all CI Global Asset Management investment products.
- Perform pro-active call and sales campaigns to promote CI GAM product offerings to existing and potential clients
- Generating referrals for your respective DVPs
- Perform account management and customer service duties for established clients
- Respond to inquiries on products, fund management strategies, portfolio manager philosophies/processes/styles and industry trends
- Develop sales campaigns and materials and assist in delivery of sales presentations
- Assist in responding to due diligence questionnaires
- Perform territorial sales and asset reporting (monthly, quarterly, etc.) in collaboration with DVPs
- Collect client and competitor information from Internet and other sources
- Work closely with and support efforts of other team members
- Assist in administrative functions as required
- Minimum 2 years financial services industry experience in a sales capacity
- University degree in Business Administration
- Canadian Securities Course is a required designation; CFP, CIM, CFA, CAIA are not required but are a nice to have
- Securities, mutual fund products, and investment industry knowledge
- Advance expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in managing relationships with clients
- Strong time-management and organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Resourcefulness and creative problem-solving skills to provide effective solutions for clients
- May require attending marketing functions and activities which extend beyond normal office hours
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a sales incentive plan program.
