In this vital role, the Youth Intervention Support Worker helps you navigate challenges while creating a structured and supportive environment. By leveraging trauma-informed practices and crisis management techniques, you’ll ensure the safety and well-being of youth within alternative housing. Your work will include direct support, accurate documentation, and collaboration with team members and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead team responses during escalated situations
• Provide care and consistent emotional guidance
• Conduct safety checks to maintain a secure space
• Address crises through approved intervention methods
• Document all incidents and report progress clearly
Requirements:
• Diploma in a human services-related discipline
• One year of youth support experience preferred
• NVCI or similar training required
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to perform in high-pressure scenarios
