Class 1 Driver

Our client is hiring for a Class 1 Driver to start work immediately in the Fredericton, NB area.

• Pay: $23 an hour plus 4% vacation pay added to your rate
• Schedule:
  
  Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
• Free WHMIS training
• Weekly pay on Friday
• Immediate start

• Loading and unloading trucks
• Completing a daily truck log and submitting mileage reports
• Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting any problems
• Complying with company and government regulations and rules
• Securing cargo and dealing with hazardous materials safely, as needed
• Communicating with dispatchers and other drivers using onboard radios or computers
• Paying for goods and receiving payments from clients
• Performing emergency repairs such as patching tires when needed
• Ensuring the yard is clean and operated in a safe manner
• Assisting on the dock regularly
• Moving and handling freight in a dock environment (50-75 lbs)
• Reporting any incidents of safety violations or security breaches
• Other related duties as may be required

• Minimum 1 year of skilled driving experience with Class 1 vehicles
• Valid Class 1 License with a clean CVOR and Abstract
• Clean criminal background check
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Self-motivated with good communication skills
• Safety-minded
• Ability to meet deadlines in a high-transaction setting
