SBATCH Courts. You will join an 8,500-member strong team that operates with the highest standards of independence, integrity, fairness and quality service. The position supports a Superior Court Judge across multiple divisions, managing a range of administrative andateleclia duties in a dynamic judicial environment.

Lista $49 fleiri 059,79 to $73,196.51 dma Schedule A, and $49,059.79 to $69,536.67 for Schedule

B. For newly hired individuals the starting salary will normally be the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees the salary upon promotion will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Employees hired prior to August 21 2014 are considered Schedule A;

those hired on or after August 21 2014 are considered Schedule

B.

Responsibilities
  • Conform judge's orders and decisions, managing workflow in and out of judicial chambers.
  • Proofread typed material for accuracy and correct punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
  • Coordinate and communicate the judge’s schedule with division administration and case management personnel.
  • Prepare and submit local and state reports.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including mail, telephone, case conference calls, and follow‑up.
  • Procure supplies, equipment, and inventory for chambers.
  • Format and type charges, judicial opinions, and other legal documents.
  • Compose routine correspondence, such as form letters or standard replies to inquiries.
  • Compose non‑routine correspondence.
  • Additional duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications

Three years of experience in an office environment performing a variety of clerical and support services, including keyboarding and activities such as preparing legal documents, processing documents, transcribing information, and scheduling meetings or appointments.

Applicants selected for interview must pass an appointing authority administered examination to demonstrate typing skills of at least 40 words per minute or possess proof of having taken the required skills test (e.g., New Jersey Civil Service Commission or New Jersey Judiciary typing proficiency certificate).

Note:

Knowledge of legal terminology and working knowledge of Microsoft Office is helpful.

Special Requirements

Driver's License: Appointee must possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if vehicle operation is necessary for essential duties.

Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidates must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.

Background Check: Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting. All data received will be kept in strict confidence except to inform the individual of the findings and any action taken as a_rev.

Residency Law: In accordance with ומ J.S.A. 52:14-7, all newly hired employees within one year must establish, and then maintain, a principal residence in New Jersey. Exemptions from that requirement can be requested for hardship or employer critical need.
