Aide to Monmouth NJ 250 Committee – Part Time

The Monmouth NJ 250 Committee has a part-time opening. Position is on-site at the Monmouth County Clerk’s office, and the weekly schedule will vary depending on scheduled events and other needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Creating and posting social media content
• Assisting with various historical research projects
• Proofreading educational and marketing materials
• Event planning and execution
• Community and municipal government outreach and communications
• Working closely with other Monmouth County divisions and outside partners/vendors
• Other duties assigned by the Monmouth NJ 250 Co-Chairs and/or Executive Director

Requirements:

• Experienced with marketing and community outreach
• Enjoys working in a forward-facing, dynamic, and fast paced environment
• Can work on multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
• Has a keen interest in American and Monmouth County History
• Ability to interact with large crowds
• Organized with attention to detail
• Marketing and/or Public Relations experience is a plus
• Contribute to event display setups requiring lifting and standing for extended periods of time

Location/Hours:

• Various county locations. Primary location is 33 Mechanic Street, Freehold
• 29 hours per week – weekly schedule will vary and may include nights, weekends, holidays, and outdoor events
• Responsible for transportation to Freehold office and off-site events
• This is an unclassified position with no expectation of tenure. It is anticipated the position will be actively encumbered through 2026.
