The Surgical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating patient activities for the Surgical Coordinator Department to ensure compassionate and professional care. The individual acts as a liaison for physicians, facilities, and patients regarding scheduling of emergent and elective surgeries and procedures. Key responsibilities include coordinating surgeon schedules, OR time, and necessary assistants required for the procedure, as well as acquiring any specialized surgical equipment or supplies from outside vendors, as requested by the surgeon.
