Tree of Life Counseling Center is a busy out-patient mental health counseling and medication management office seeing over 1,600 clients in person and remotely every week and we are rapidly expanding. We are seeking a full-time, LPN Intake Coordinator to join our hard-working and close knit team in Freehold. This position will report directly to our Nurse Practitioner Supervisor helping support the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner team and assisting clients with scheduling, on-boarding to our practice, and general customer service.

We are a digital practice and utilize electronic health records and telephone systems that are all web-based, paperless systems.

Salary of $60,000-$80,000 for full-time employees

Job Duties

• Assisting with patient discharge procedures.
• Monitoring and reporting patient progress and any significant changes to the medical team.
• Rescheduling appointments.
• Managing patient referrals and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
• Obtaining prior authorizations for medications and treatments.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Managing communication between patients, providers, and pharmacies.
• Basic clerical duties such as answering phones and maintaining records.

Maintaining a Safe and Secure Environment:

• Ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Maintaining confidentiality and complying with HIPAA regulations

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• Licensure:
  Current, active, and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
• Experience:
  
  Previous experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy and a compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and mental health disorders.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Computer literacy and experience with EMR systems.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
