Orthopedic Surgeon

FHN is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team of compassionate providers at the FHN Family Healthcare Center – Burchard Hills. As a leader in community health for Northwest Illinois, you will have the opportunity to craft a practice that prioritizes patient relationships and high-quality care while collaborating with a fantastic team. The provider team provides comprehensive orthopedic and surgical care in the ambulatory and hospital setting.

• Collaborative Team: The Physician will collaborate with 3 Orthopedic Surgeons and a team of advanced practice professionals in an established practice that has room to grow.
• Support Staff: Orthopedic Surgical Nurse Navigators compliment the team in an effort to maximize patient readiness for surgery and achieve quality post-surgical outcomes.
• Teamwork: The Ambulatory Care Unit nursing team and Physical Rehabilitation Team work collaboratively with the surgeon to promote same day discharges after total joint surgery when appropriate.
• Facilities: The practice is located within the FHN Family Healthcare Center – Burchard Hills, a multi-specialty clinic just one mile from the network’s 100-bed hospital.
• Schedule: 4 days/week of direct patient care with call responsibility.
• Call Coverage: Call is required at 1:3.
• Service Area: FHN is an integrated healthcare network serving the entire northwest corner of Illinois, eastern Iowa, and southwestern Wisconsin.

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Current Illinois medical license or eligibility for licensure.
• A passion for providing high-quality, compassionate care based on respect and dignity in a rural healthcare environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a cooperative spirit for team-based care.

• Compensation Range: $598,517 - $800,000
