About the RoleAs a COTA at Pearl Pointe, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to design and implement personalized treatment plans for our patients. You will help patients develop, recover, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and work, focusing on physical, cognitive, and sensory skills. Your expertise will enable patients to participate in activities that bring them joy and fulfillment.
Responsibilities- Assist Occupational Therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patients' strengths, weaknesses, and goals
- Develop and implement interventions to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and sensory skills
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on treatment techniques and strategies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient-centered care
- Document patient progress and develop discharge plans
- Graduation from an accredited program for Occupational Therapy Assistants
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients as needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
