Performs routine and preventive maintenance for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of facilities. Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery, mechanical equipment, and facilities in an industrial setting.
Responsibilities- Working knowledge of programming controls (view and edit PLC programs)
- Effectively troubleshoot complex equipment with programmable controls
- Maintain and improve test processes and equipment
- Two years working experience with low voltage electronics preferred
- Perform routine repairs and services to production equipment, apparatus, attachments, fixtures, and accessories
- Assist with the preventive maintenance program by ensuring that all tasks are completed and machinery and equipment are maintained per the required intervals and schedule for service and repair
- Maintain building and grounds including plumbing, painting, drywalling, mechanical and electrical work
- Assemble, install, and move machinery and equipment which may include installation of water, airlines and electric; assist in debugging and modifying of new machines and equipment
- Troubleshoot and problem solve equipment and machinery issues
- Address repair and maintenance requests in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Complete plant continuous improvement ideas (CI’s) when assigned and identify and complete additional CI’s for the department
- Follow all safety standards, procedures and policies set by the organization, OSHA and other regulatory agencies
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related field, preferably in a comparable manufacturing environment
- Technical training or certification a plus
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and terminology
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
- Troubleshooting, problem solving, and attention to detail
- Ability to use hand and power tools and testing equipment
- Flexibility to adjust shift schedule as production needs require
The salary range for this position is $23.35 - $32.00/hour. Most candidates will start in the lower half of the range.
