Electrical Design Technician – Jacobs
Join our team of technical professionals supporting the design of data center facilities.
Base Pay Range$66,000.00 / yr – $90,800.00 / yr (salary varies by experience, location, and skills).
About the RoleAs an Electrical Design Technician, you will work closely with Revit Technicians, Designers, Engineers, and Architects to create and draft detailed drawings for various facility design projects. You will apply your knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD to prepare construction documents for MEP systems, manage project templates, and coordinate with central and local file workflows.
Responsibilities- Prepare and update Revit family templates, project sets, and schedules for MEP drawings.
- Manage worksets, control visibility, and apply parameters in Revit families.
- Draft and review construction drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with design team members to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Support the documentation process for data center design projects.
- At least 7 years of experience using Revit and AutoCAD for building‑related design.
- BS degree reduces the experience requirement by 1–2 years.
- Proficiency in creating and updating project templates and set‑up in Revit.
- Experience working with central and local file management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong skills with Revit 2017 / 2018, BIM
360, Autodesk, BIM 360 GLUE, and Navisworks. - US citizenship.
