Instrumentation and Controls Engineer – Intermediate (Data Centers)
Base pay range: $69,500.00–$95,500.00 per year.
We’re looking for an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You’ll have the chance to work on state‑of‑the‑art industrial and commercial facilities and be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks.
Responsibilities- Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document and model design information.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.
- Assist during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete, world‑class solutions for new facilities.
- Produce control system designs for a variety of processes, developing options and optimizations for all aspects of process control, instrumentation, and automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience working with instrumentation and controls.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Forward‑thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.
- Display ability to learn quickly and drive to broaden knowledge base.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Passion for buildings and construction.
- Working knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS and other controls applications.
- Experience working with data centers.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
