Overview

EXCEL Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PVC Lab Technician to join our team. As a PVC Lab Technician, you will be responsible for conducting various tests and analyses on Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) materials and products. Your work will contribute to the quality control and development of PVC compounds used in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
  • Sample Preparation:
    Prepare PVC samples for testing, ensuring they meet required specifications and standards.
  • Testing and Analysis:
    Perform a variety of tests on PVC materials, including mechanical, physical, and chemical tests, to evaluate their properties and quality.
  • Equipment Operation:
    Operate laboratory instruments and equipment used for PVC testing, such as rheometers, viscometers, spectrophotometers, and thermal analysis equipment.
  • Data Recording:
    Record and maintain accurate data and test results in laboratory notebooks or electronic systems.
  • Quality Control:
    Monitor and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure accuracy and consistency in test results.
  • Troubleshooting:
    Identify and troubleshoot issues with testing equipment and inform the supervisor or maintenance team when necessary.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines in the laboratory, including proper handling of chemicals and disposal of waste.
  • Sample Management:
    Organize and manage the storage of PVC samples and maintain an efficient sample tracking system.
  • Report Generation:
    Prepare reports summarizing test results and findings for review by supervisors and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience, preferably in a PVC or polymer testing lab preferred.
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and equipment used in polymer testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret test results and troubleshoot issues.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and recording data.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey test results and findings effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
