The Job: We are seeking an experienced Hydro Excavation Operator to safely operate hydro excavation equipment and expose underground utilities. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hydro excavation experience, a valid CDL, Class A and TWIC card, and a strong commitment to safe work practices. The role requires travel to job sites and flexibility to work overtime, weekends and on-call shifts.
Responsibilities:- Operate hydro excavation equipment safely and efficiently
- Expose underground utilities using precise potholing techniques
- Help set up work sites, including traffic control and utility locates
- Remove and dispose of soil and debris appropriately
- Complete daily equipment inspections, cleaning and routine maintenance
- Follow company and site safety requirements; report incidents promptly
- Keep accurate work and equipment logs
Competencies:
- 3–5 years of hydro excavation experience
- Valid CDL, Class A and TWIC card
- Clean motor vehicle record
- Additional endorsements are an asset
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Able to work outdoors, lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Clear communication with crew members, supervisors and clients
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification is an asset; willingness to obtain required certifications
- Candidate must be local to Freeport or Houston area

- Pay is dependent on experience, performance, and qualifications.
- Hours of work per day vary but are regularly 10 hours per day, with applicable overtime rates.
