HoursThis is a full-time, 40-hour position that offers a consistent schedule and the stability you need to grow and succeed in your career.
Responsibilities- Guide and support students through hands‑on vocational tasks both on and off campus, helping them build life and job skills that promote independence.
- Assist with personal care, offer encouragement during job coaching sessions, transport students to worksites, and implement therapeutic practices.
- Monitor students while they complete tasks such as collecting trash, cleaning the cafeteria, or vacuuming and sweeping the hallways.
- Work closely with a supportive team, receive continuous guidance from your instructor, and gain the experience and confidence to grow in your career.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Fairness, forethought, and good judgment.
- Computer skills.
- Understanding of general environmental and safety policies/procedures.
- Ability to complete all required documentation.
- Understanding of client confidentiality regulations and protocols (HIPAA/FERPA).
- Knowledge of policies and procedures for reporting suspected child abuse and neglect.
- Commitment to function as a healthy and therapeutic role model.
- Ability to model and reinforce skills in the program and community while fostering independence.
- Ability to assist students with personal care development and maintenance as appropriate.
- Ability to understand and adhere to licensing regulations.
Potential employees will need to pass a background check, drug screening, and tuberculosis (TB) test.
