Portfolio Manager​/Trader PM team

Overview

A dynamic and leading independent investment firm is looking for a full-time, permanent position within the Portfolio Management team.

• Bachelor or equivalent and strong interest for markets
• 2-5 years of experience in portfolio management, investment advisory or middle office gained in a bank, insurance company, asset manager or hedge fund
• Sell-side or buy-side experience, with competence in investment management or investment consulting
• Experience in trading options would be a plus
• Background in equity and/or fixed-income securities with an interest to learn
• Able to work independently by taking initiative and also being a fair team player
• Enjoy working in a small and demanding environment
• Strong organization skills, multi-tasking capacity, and ability to work under pressure
• Highly reliable and accurate with an eye for detail
• Dynamic and flexible personality
• Excellent presentation skills
• Ability to generate multi-asset class investment ideas
• Fluent in German and English. Any other language will be valued
• High level of confidentiality
• Good command of usual MS Office applications
• Command of Bloomberg tools
• Resident in the Zurich area. Candidates living abroad will not be considered

• Work with other Senior Portfolio Managers as a team
• Active implementation and monitoring of client portfolios
• Implement trades based on the in-house asset allocation views, execute buy and sell orders for securities and other financial instruments
• Contribute to the quarterly investment committee and investment letter
• Analyze client portfolios to ensure they align with investment objectives, risk tolerance, and asset allocation strategies
• Respond to specific client demands and investment proposals
• Verify the execution terms of our clients’ portfolios
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, assisting in the development of investment strategies tailored to individual client needs
• Prepare bespoke documents for clients (including market and performance attribution analysis)
• Contribute to equity research and production of trading ideas
• Contribute to Chief Compliance Officer duties related to portfolio management
