Commercial Drywall Estimator

POSITION SUMMARY: We're seeking an experienced Commercial Drywall Estimator to join our client's preconstruction team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Quickbid (QB) software, with a focus on projects exceeding $1MM in value.

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff
• Prepare comprehensive estimates using Quickbid software
• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Analyze construction documents to identify potential issues
• Coordinate with project management team on bid strategies
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals
• Participate in scope review meetings
• Support value engineering initiatives
• Conduct job walks and pre-bid meetings

• 3+ years of commercial drywall estimating experience
• Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid software
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods
• Experience with projects valued over $1MM
• Excellence in reading and interpreting construction documents
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Effective communication abilities
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Experience in the Bay Area market
• Knowledge of related trades (ACT, FRP, Division 9 packages)
• Background in project management
• Experience with design-build projects
