Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join the Knowledge Management / Technical Publications team. In this one-year contract role, you will be responsible for creating and editing technical articles and procedures. This position is based in Fremont, California, and involves close collaboration with engineers, core writing staff, and cross‑functional teams across global regions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and edit clear, accurate, and comprehensive technical articles and procedures for internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate with engineers and technical writing teams to finalize technical content using Microsoft Word.
- Ensure timely delivery and quality of technical documentation.
- Gather information from engineering sources, validate accuracy and completeness, and incorporate it into technical content.
- Participate in team meetings, provide status updates, and plan for future deliverables.
- Ability to create clear, accurate, and comprehensive technical documentation for diverse audiences.
- Strong command of Microsoft Word (mandatory), with familiarity in SharePoint, Snag It, and CMS as a plus.
- Strong command of the English language (mandatory).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or other disciplines with demonstrated exceptional writing skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of writing or editing experience (preferred but not required).
- Experience with Snag It or equivalent.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Frame Maker, Acrobat.
