We are hiring a Nocturnist physician. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

• We take pride in our well-established team, which currently comprises 16 members, including six daytime rounders, one swing physician, one nocturnist, and a clinical performance registered nurse at Washington Hospital.

• A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution is required.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• An active medical license in California or eligibility for licensure is required.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

• 7 on/7 off block schedule

• Washington Hospital is a 415-bed acute-care hospital with a 28-bed ICU and a 23-bed emergency room.
• Closed ICU – the ICU team runs 24/7 intensivist support and codes.
• Manageable workload and encounters foster a balanced and supportive work environment.
• Epic EMR and have access to Sound Physicians’ internal informatics platform for streamlined and efficient workflow.

• Compensation:
  • The yearly base salary for a nocturnist is $382,200 plus quality and productivity bonuses.
