We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Teacher's Assistant. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the Lead Teacher in creating engaging and interactive learning experiences for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for STEAM education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both students and teachers.

• Assist with Lesson Preparation: Collaborate with STEAM teachers to prepare materials, resources, and equipment for lessons and activities. Ensure that all necessary materials are organized and readily accessible for classroom use.
• Classroom Support: Assist STEAM teachers during classroom instruction by providing one-on-one or small group support to students. Help students understand key concepts, complete assignments, and participate in hands-on activities.
• Supervision and Safety: Monitor students during STEAM activities to ensure their safety and well-being. Enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks such as recording attendance and maintaining student records. Help prepare instructional materials, worksheets, and visual aids as needed.
• Technology Assistance: Provide technical support for STEAM-related tools, software, and equipment used in the classroom. Assist students with troubleshooting technical issues and navigating digital resources.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers, staff members, and volunteers to coordinate STEAM-related events, projects, and initiatives. Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in a STEAM-related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or recreational setting preferred.
• Strong interest in STEAM education and a desire to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail to assist with lesson preparation and administrative tasks.
• Flexibility and adaptability to support a dynamic classroom environment and meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Basic proficiency with technology and willingness to learn new software and tools as needed.

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
