Two full-time, in-person school psychologist positions are available for the contract school year (CSY) in Fremont, CA, serving K-12 students. One position supports two elementary schools (TK-5), and the other serves a middle school (6-8). These roles provide a unique opportunity to work as the sole psychologist at each respective site while participating in monthly collaborative meetings with district psychologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and participate in IEP meetings
  • Develop and implement lower-level and initial behavior intervention plans
  • Provide limited direct counseling as needed (varies by site)
  • Manage caseloads of around 61 students with IEPs for each assignment
  • Coordinate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student needs
Qualifications and Experience
  • Valid School Psychologist credential or license appropriate for K-12 settings
  • Experience with special education assessments and IEP processes
  • Ability to work independently at assigned sites while engaging in district-wide collaboration
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to working full-time, on-site
Work Schedule and Locations
  • Middle school hours: 7:45 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Elementary school hours:
    Either 7:45 AM - 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 3:15 PM (may vary)
  • School sites include Hyde Middle School (zip code 95014) or De Vargas Elementary (zip code 95129) and Faria Elementary (zip code 95014)
