Mechanical Design Engineer​/Robotics Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer/Robotics Engineer for a contract job with a client in Fremont, CA
. Responsibilities include developing and manufacturing an autonomous delivery robot platform and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure efficient production and quality control.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $48/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Develop and manufacture an autonomous delivery robot platform.
• Collaborate with Hardware Engineering and Technician teams to prepare for product launch.
• Manage day‑to‑day production and respond to quality issues on the frontline.
• Ensure component traceability for product shipments and maintain production documentation.
• Interface with Design‑Responsible Engineers (DREs) to bring products to reality.
• Scale and sustain the manufacturing of next‑generation delivery robots.
• Set up and manage quality control processes to ensure product consistency and reliability.

• BS or MS in Manufacturing Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in robotics, micro‑mobility, autonomous vehicles, or automotive.
• Experience supporting production lines with operators and technicians.
• Strong communication, documentation, and quality control setup experience.
