About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Industrial Engineer to support lab operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a fast‑paced Semiconductor Research & Development environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on process optimization, cross‑functional collaboration, and improving systems that directly impact engineering teams and lab users.
You will play a key part in enhancing lab efficiency, prioritization systems, execution cycle time, and overall service quality. This is a highly visible role with substantial ownership of operational improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities- Apply industrial engineering principles to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Own and lead lab improvement projects from planning to execution to continuous enhancement.
- Collect user feedback, coordinate testing, and evaluate system usability.
- Analyze data and build performance metrics/KPIs for lab processes and systems.
- Provide daily operational system support, including troubleshooting, resolving issues, and performing routine health checks.
- Present project updates and findings in lab operations or cross‑functional meetings.
- BS degree in Industrial Engineering (required).
- 3+ years experience in lab or manufacturing operations (5+ years strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of 5S/6S, Lean, Six Sigma
, and other continuous improvement methodologies. - Experience leading cross‑functional projects with strong ownership.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and presentation skills.
- Strong communication skills and a highly collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.
- Able to work in a cleanroom / lab setting, lift up to 30 lbs, and walk/stand as needed.
- Must be able to work onsite daily in Fremont, CA
. - Local Bay Area candidates only.
- Fast learner with strong initiative.
- Comfortable engaging with engineering teams and lab personnel.
